There is indoor & outdoor seating, free wireless internet a large concrete sculpture which young children just love to climb on and in. There’s ample parking and this is a convenient place for people to rest before or after “Mitumba Shopping” where you will find bargains galore in the nearby second hand clothes market. (the “Toy” market (named after the nearby Toy School), sells literally heaps of clothes, some of which are beautifully washed, ironed and displayed on hangers, others are set out like a jumble sale with tables of clothes to rummage through. It’s just 5 minutes away from Java house and is probably the most ex-pat friendly market in Nairobi. Java is open 7am to 8pm daily. Java House, is probably Kenya’s most successful coffee houses, having 10 thriving restaurants/coffee houses spread throughout the city.

The Heron Portico Hotel is a medium sized, mid to top end hotel located about 10 minutes from the city centre. It’s just a short distance from Statehouse in Nairobi.
